Since 1895, transport has been an integral part of the Schwerkolt family business.
We have always transported our own goods, firstly by horse and dray then later by truck. In the 1970s, with the forklift business growing, Charlie Schwerkolt saw opportunity to do external forklift transport to improve the utilization of his trucks.
And so WFL Transport began – the specialists in moving forklifts, access equipment and mobile plant.
The trucks may have changed since then, but the ethos has not – Machine on time, in perfect order, transported safely.
We are determined to offer the most complete transport service in the industry, and we do this by being the specialists in transporting forklifts and access equipment, such as boom lifts and scissor lifts.
Our fleet of tilt trays and low loader trucks travel all over the country, providing exceptional service to our customers.
We currently have 23 trucks in the WFL Transport fleet, operating out of depots in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia & Queensland. The number of trucks we have, and the range of tray & trailer set ups, gives us an enormous advantage within the forklift industry as we do not have to rely on sub-contractors.
Working with an experienced team, our knowledge and experience has allowed us to design and custom build our tilt trays and trailers so as to best suit the applications of our customers. This includes a number of trailers specially designed to transport high masted forklifts and reach trucks, often without the need for an over-height permit.
We have stringent quality procedures in place and take pride in our safety record. All of our well trained drivers, equipment and procedures comply with OHS requirements, so you can be assured your piece of machinery is in safe hands when you entrust it to WFL Transport.
